Today’s aircraft contribute around 2.5% of global CO2 emissions, equivalent to the emissions of 200 million cars. This is only going to increase: Air travel is forecasted to double by 2050, while meaningful efficiency gains using current airplanes have hit a wall.
JetZero is developing a blended wing aircraft. It uses 50% less fuel and can accommodate zero-emission hydrogen propulsion. JetZero is the inevitable solution to sustainable air travel.

This is why we’re hiring a Hydraulic System Architecture Engineer. You will be responsible for the installation, integration, and configuration of the Hydraulic System and its components in both digital and physical environments. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining analytical system models that predict overall system performance, behavior, thermal loading, and system stress.
You will work closely with other systems teams such as Flight Controls, Landing Gear, Propulsion, Fuel Systems, Labs and others to develop and track requirements for the Hydraulic System to meet the needs of internal and external customers.

What You'll DoSystem Architecture - Establish, develop, and manage the configuration and characteristics of the airplane's Hydraulic System as a digital model system design per industry and JetZero standards. Understand the system's expected performance and use analytical tools, such as Amesim to predict and quantify system behavior (i.e. system output, pressure drop, thermal loads, and stress) and impacts of changes made to the system.
Hydraulic System Integration - evaluate and provide guidance for installing hydraulic components, hoses/tubes, and other associated system components to ensure the system meets performance, human factors, maintainability, and other requirements.
Configuration Management – Document and revision control of the System Architecture, meticulously track changes through accurate and thorough documentation of revisions and the basis of changes.
Communicate - Continuously engage in communication with hydraulics and system team members, leadership, and others to inform, gain feedback, and drive actions. Deliver precise and clear messaging based on target audiences with technical and non-technical backgrounds. Confidently and positively communicate JetZero's mission and vision.

Experience- B.S. degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited university.
- 5 years experience in system design and analysis of complex Hydraulic Systems (Airplane or space vehicle Hydraulic Systems preferred, system design in automotive or industrial applications may also be considered).
