Position Overview

We are searching for a Hydraulic Repair Mechanic to join our team! This role requires a strong understanding of hydraulic principles, mechanics and the ability to diagnose/repair hydraulics.

Job Summary

Hydraulic Component Repair

- Diagnose and troubleshoot hydraulic components malfunctions and failures.

- Disassemble, repair, and reassemble hydraulic pumps, motors, cylinders, valves, and other hydraulic components.

- Ensure the correct functioning of hydraulic components through proper testing and calibration.

Documentation

- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work, including parts used, time spent, and any adjustments made to the components.

- Complete service reports and document related to hydraulic components refurbishment.

Safety and Compliance

- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.

- Comply with industry standards and regulations relevant to hydraulic systems and components.

Tool and Equipment Management

- Provide your own Mechanic Tools (highly preferred)

- Ensure that tools and equipment are well-maintained and in good working order.

- Report any damaged or malfunctioning tools for repair or replacement.

Minimum qualifications

  • Lift 30 pounds
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in hydraulics is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a Hydraulic Pump and Hydraulic Repair Technician or similar
  • Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems, components, and their operation.
  • Proficiency in using hydraulic testing and diagnostic equipment.
  • Skilled in disassembling and reassembling hydraulic components.
  • Ability to read hydraulic schematics and technical documentation.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Physical fitness and the ability to work in various environmental conditions.
  • Safety-conscious and familiar with relevant safety standards and protocols.
  • Carry out assigned projects to their completion.
  • Communicate effectively in English verbally and in writing.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees and supervisors.
