The project to which the postdoctoral scholar will contribute is focused on the development, refinement, and implementation of instructional interventions that promote positive social-academic outcomes among students in engineering at WVU. This position provides an excellent opportunity to engage in pedagogical development, connect research and practice, develop and center analytical and writing skills on research papers and practice-oriented reports, and evaluate the effects of equity-focused instructional interventions to address the needs of postsecondary learners. Opportunity for the postdoctoral scholar to deepen and sustain their own line of inquiry will also be afforded. The postdoctoral scholar will engage in a mentoring experience that promotes pedagogical and empirical competencies in postsecondary education.

    • Strong analytical skills supporting both quantitative and qualitative inquiry
    • Excellent writing skills and experience presenting research and submitting manuscripts to academic journals
    • Strong organization skills and attention to detail
    • Commitment to enhancing equitable learning outcomes for underrepresented and underserved students
