GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB

Load/Unload and Operate the SawJet at maximum efficiency. Your primary focus will be to keep the SawJet cutting for as many hours in the day as possible. Supplementary responsibilities include labeling the pieces as they come off the saw, as well as setting pieces on to a table for lamination. You may also be asked to assist the shop when an extra set of hands or eyes are needed (ie. moving stone pieces, spotting the forklift, etc. You will work closely with both the Production Engineer and the Inventory Manager.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

● Load and Unload SawJet
● Operate SawJet

● Get a feel for and understand the condition of the SawJet based on sight and sound

● Change/Dress Saw Blades
● Basic Maintenance (follow maintenance guide)
● Identify potential problems with the SawJet and/or the loaded job and notify the Production Engineer, preferably before the problem occurs

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

● Knowledge in CNC machine operation is ideal
● Experience with Slabsmith, Moraware Job tracking system is a plus but not mandatory (will be training this)
● Must be able to use a computer and learn CNC front end software

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense to carry out assigned tasks

CERTIFICATE, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

First aid training, forklift and overhead crane certification, and training on
Park Industries equipment are helpful and/or can help be obtained.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The position will require the following physical activities on a regular basis:
Climbing, Balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, sitting, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, and handling.

The maximum amount of weight required to be lifted will be approximately
50 pounds.

Must be able to stand for most of the day.

Pay: $15.00 - $19.00 per hour
