Job Summary:

In Systems Integration and Test (SI&T) we integrate, verify, and validate our products. We put our systems together, exercise them in the lab or in the field, measure and analyze performance, and make sure our products work the first time and every time. To accomplish this we develop plans and procedures, debug and evaluate system functions and interfaces, develop test environments, and work hand-in-hand with our customers.

The Hardware In the Loop (HWIL) Department in Tucson, AZ is a multi-discipline organization responsible for designing, building and integrating state of the art testing environments (flight simulators for missiles), as the last step before flight test.  On our team, you will work with weapon system designers to understand requirements, design solutions, integrate, and deploy the systems to help support tactical software development, testing, and delivery for missiles to the warfighter.  If mechanical CAD drafting is your forte than this position could be the perfect fit for you.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

Collaborate in a multi-disciplinary team in an engineering environment

• Design and develop 3D and 2D Mechanical Design packages for missile flight simulation systems. Typical work includes:
  • Technical mechanical drawing development such as:
    • Test system and cable model creation
    • Fixture design
    • Test interface development, including adapters and cabling
• Technical data package (TDP) release in PDM
• Ensuring assigned tasks are performed within technical, cost, and schedule requirement
• Obtain and maintain additional program access as required

Basic Qualifications:

• Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 2 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field
• Experience with Mechanical CAD solid modeling tools such as Creo, Solidworks, Solidedge, NX, etc.
• Experience with creating mechanical drawing packages
• Ability to obtain US Government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance. 
   

Preferred Qualifications:

• 3D PDF Experience
• Experience with drafting and drawing standard Y14.100
• Experience with geometric dimensioning and tolerance analysis Y14.5
• Design experience with mechanical and electronic packaging
• Experience with creating complex design drawing packages
• Experience with Configuration Management processes, application, and tools (e.g., Windchill / cPDM)
