HVAC/R Technician
Job Summary:
Aronimink Golf Club is seeking a full-time HVAC/R technician who is passionate about HVAC and takes pride in their work to become a member of our team. You will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems. You will ensure the efficient operation of these systems in various settings of our Clubhouse. Our historic Clubhouse is nearly 100 years old, so familiarity with older properties is a plus. Your duties will also include working with the Facilities team to ensure smooth maintenance operations of our property.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Maintains HVAC/R equipment including RTUs, split systems, mini splits, make-up air units, and light refrigeration equipment.
- Understand and correct error codes on low and high electrical sides.
- Works with all types of refrigerants, with the ability to identify and repair leaks.
- Troubleshoot equipment parts such as compressors, filters, fans, motors, valves, drains, drip pans, and metering devices. Ability to repair or replace as necessary.
- Work with damper controls.
- Control BAS System for building.
- Understanding of low-pressure boilers and steam heat.
- General work with generator and all safety equipment.
- Work with a Preventative Maintenance schedule.
Other Responsibilities:
- Report to the Facilities Director and work with the entire facilities team to ensure efficient communication of projects and tasks.
- Complete daily assigned jobs from the Facilities Director.
- Answer work orders, including general labor requests including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, masonry or other general labor.
- Carries out routine maintenance tasks for the campus such as painting, replacing light bulbs, and unclogging drains.
- Attending department and safety meetings as required.
- Maintains a clean and orderly maintenance shop area.
- Maintains good working order of company vehicle(s).
Professional Experience and Education Requirements:
- HS diploma or GED equivalent.
- Completed HVAC/R apprenticeship OR have a minimum of 3-y
- ears' experience in the HVAC/R field.
- EPA/OSHA Certification is preferred, but not required.
- Possession of a valid Driver's License (not suspended, revoked, canceled, or disqualified from driving).
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Extensive knowledge of HVAC systems and equipment.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends, as needed.
- Ability to use power tools and hand tools.
- Ability to use thermometers, pressure gauges, and other testing devices to evaluate HVAC systems.
- Ability to read operation and repair manuals for HVAC systems.
- Ability to follow instructions.
- Excellent mechanical skills.
- Excellent communication skills are required to interact with team members.
Physical Requirements:
- Physically able to work on HVAC units including rooftop units
- Will be required to work in settings with extreme cold or heat
- Prolonged periods of standing, kneeling, crawling, or climbing ladders
- Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds.
