Basic Job Description:
- Install, alter, and repair Sheet Metal products and equipment ducts and hoods for HVAC systems utilizing blueprints, drawings, and work orders.
Minimum Job Duties:
- Layout, measure, and mark dimensions and reference lines
- Convert blueprints into shop drawings to be followed in the construction or assembly of Sheet Metal product
- Fasten seams or joints together
- Develop or layout patterns
- Fabricate ducts for high-efficiency heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems to maximize the efficiency of systems.
- Finish parts, using hacksaws or hand, rotary, or squaring shears.
- Fabricate or alter parts at construction sites, using shears, hammers, punches, or drills.
- Inspect completed work to ensure proper installation.
- Fabricate parts or components.
