Lone Star Venting Solutions, a manufacturer’s representative firm specializing in venting products for boilers, generators, grease ducts, and more, is looking for a Sales Engineer to join the team. The Sales Engineer actively promotes company-represented product lines with the local rep firms, contractors, consulting engineers, owners, and owners’ reps. This team member will be accountable for sales to contractors and owners and pursue specifications for our equipment with the engineers. As well as developing relationships with building owners and their reps. Primary Responsibilities Include:
- Work with contractors daily
- Coordinate and attend project review meetings
- Regularly visit customer base to ensure relationship development
- “Take Off" projects that are not handled by estimating department
- Quote any “Design/Build" projects and follow up on all quotes
- Finalize “Buy Numbers" and negotiate project quotes, obtain special pricing approval from the factories, and review the estimate
- Generate submittals and any re-submittal required for approval
- Help coordinate and resolve any project-related issues
- Work with consulting engineers to maintain, update and educate on factory information and products
- Schedule and provide support for factory product and information seminars
- Generate “Budget & Pre-Submittals” for any equipment selections required
- Increase market penetration/basis of design
- Work with and support the Inside Sales & Estimating teams
Successful Candidates Must Have:
- Strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and excellent people skills
- Ability to handle situations efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment
- 3-5 years of sales experience
- College degree desired but not required
- Experience with mechanical/plumbing equipment including venting a plus
- Experience with condensing water & steam boilers, generator exhaust, boiler exhaust flue, and exhaust fans a plus
- Detailed understanding of mechanical drawings and written specifications
- Understanding Salesforce and other CRM’s a plus
- Ability to work autonomously
- Strong customer service and relationship-building skills
- Clean MVR record, valid driver’s license, and reliable transportation
