Peninsula Plastics is looking for a hardworking and determined individual to take the role of Industrial Maintenance Tech at our facilities in Pontiac and Auburn Hills.

Location: Pontiac and Auburn Hills (facilities are 1 mile apart)
Shift(s):
- 1st shift - 7:00AM to 3:30PM, overtime available
- 2nd shift - 3:30PM to 11:30PM, overtime available
Pay: $22.00/hr to $28.00/hr - pay can increase past this rate based on work experience
Description:
Our company specializes in manufacturing re-usable plastic packaging and is a leader in the thermoforming industry. We are currently looking for motivated individuals to join our team as a Sr. Maintenance Technician. Maintenance Techs support our production team by installing, maintaining and repairing the equipment we utilize every day. Technicians will follow preventative maintenance schedules, assist in setting up equipment, and help keep operations running on a day-to-day basis.
Reports to: Maintenance Manager
Direct Reports: N/A
Responsibilities:
- Performing routine and preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment
- Inspecting and testing machinery and equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions
- Dismantle machine and equipment to remove and replace defective parts
- Participating in installing new equipment
- Perform special projects from time-to-time, as assigned
- Using power tools, hand tools, Hi-Lo, and other various equipment
- Performing duties such as welding, cutting, and electrical repair
- Work with little supervision
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely fashion
- Log and record readings for equipment and procedures
- Following safe working practices
Qualifications:
- Must provide your own set of tools
- HVAC experience preferred!!! We will train!!!
- Previous experience in maintenance and plant operations (3+ Years)
- Strong understanding of how to read blueprints
- Strong Electrical knowledge (HMI, PLC, high voltage, low voltage, machine controls)
- Strong Mechanical Knowledge
- Strong Carpentry skills
- Basic math Knowledge
- Ability to communicate orally and in writing
- Strong Organization Skills
- Familiarity with plant tools and equipment
- Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skill
