HVAC Apprentice and Parts Runner

Role Overview:
As an HVAC Apprentice and Parts Runner, you'll be an integral part of our warehouse and HVAC teams. This role is perfect for someone who's eager to learn, master the trade, and forge a fulfilling career as a full-time technician. Your tasks will include working on HVAC systems in residential settings, handling various system parts and mechanisms, and ensuring a 5-star experience for both customers and colleagues.
Key Responsibilities:

• Pick up, receive, verify, load, and deliver HVAC equipment and materials for each job.
• Organize and securely tie down parts and equipment for safe transportation.
• Check and verify orders for accuracy in items, quantity, and condition.
• Perform various duties including HVAC and warehouse work as assigned.
• Communicate effectively with co-workers and customers.
• Evaluate situations and take appropriate corrective action.
• Utilize basic math computations required in the HVAC trade.
• Gain hands-on experience with hand and power tools.
• Follow building, job site, and department procedures and policies.
• Demonstrate a commitment to seeing tasks through to completion.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 0-2 years of HVAC experience or equivalent technical education.
• Flexibility in work schedules and assignments.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., and perform physical tasks in various environments.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Proficiency with handheld computers (e.g., smartphone, tablet).
• Current, valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
• Availability for a full-time schedule, including on-call nights, weekends, and holidays.
• EPA Certification preferred but not necessary.

Physical Demands:

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Use of hands to manipulate, handle, or feel.
• Sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching.
• Close and distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:

• Exposure to moving mechanical parts, occasional exposure to fumes or airborne particles, extreme heat, and risk of electrical shock.
• Frequent exposure to outside weather conditions.
• Occasional loud noise level.

Pay rate up to $25 an hour based on experience
