Job Description
We are currently accepting applications for the position of Part Time Human Service Worker (HSW) to provide mental health support services to individuals at our Foothill program.
Foothill is a residential facility that treats adults with substance use disorders. An HSW functions as a mental health technician who is responsible for the well-being of our clients. On our team, their role would be to maintain a safe and supportive environment for our clients in various stages of recovery.

Schedule:
Days may vary, 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM shifts and 11:00 PM - 2:00 AM shifts
Compensation:
$15.62 - $19.79 per hour (depending on experience)
Additional compensation available for Spanish speakers, after testing proficiency.
Essential Functions (Performs all or some of the following)
- Participates in the development and social adjustment of clients/residents
- Provides one-on-one assistance and support
- Assists with implementation of behavioral modification treatment programs and plans
- Provides client supervision
- Assists with instructional and activity planning
- Manages crisis situations
- Teaches independent living skills
- Documents client behaviors
- Participates in staff and peer review meetings
- Assists with document reviews
- Monitors client behaviors and reaction to medications
- Assists to distribute medications
- Assures safety of the clients
- Assists with crisis intervention
- Participates in general maintenance of facilities

Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED and one (1) year post high school education in social work, psychology or a related field and one (1) year of general work experience, or an equivalent combination of related education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Ability to drive center vehicles, as needed
Employment at Wasatch Behavioral Health is contingent upon successful completion of a drug screen, motor vehicle record review and criminal background check. After hire you must complete and receive a Criminal Background Clearance (BCI) from Utah State Office of Licensing. Upon receipt of a conditional offer of employment in the position, you must provide an official copy of licensure or certification.
