Human Resources Specialist- Recruiting and Culture Development
Compensation:$54,000-$65,000 plus profit sharing bonuses (Estimated $0-$4,000 annually)
Location: South Houston, TX

This position will play an integral role in our company’s continued growth by supporting/conducting initial interviews with candidates, coordinating in-person interview experiences, and aiding in the New Hire Orientation process as well as learning and contributing to our robust personnel/talent management practices, and will be looked-to by our leadership team as a “people consultant.” We are seeking an ambitious professional with strong communication skill, a strategic mindset, and the desire to learn the principles of our business. Key Responsibilities:
- Support management of Job Requisitions and Postings, including the job copywriting, posting, and Application Tracking System management.
- Schedule and conduct initial phone interviews with job applicants. Effectively document and communicate interview notes to hiring managers.
- Coordinate, monitor, and perform quality assurance functions around the hiring process life cycle, including scheduling appointments, leading on-site experiences, and consulting with management.
- Create, review, and administer personnel documentation, including offer of employment letters, rejection letters, and employee training/development plans.
- Support New Hire Orientation through scheduling and conducting training on company culture, history, vision, policies, benefits, and the payroll/timekeeping system.
- Providing counsel on employee relations, compensation, EEO compliance, policies and procedures, disability programs (STD, LTD, FMLA, ADA), Federal and State employment laws, and personnel actions.
- Serving as an expert on federal, state and local legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting HR functions and ensuring policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance.
Ideal Qualifications:
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Strong computer skill with proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, and email applications.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities.
- Outgoing, friendly, and professional with an organized approach.
- Critical thinker with problem-solving and strategic skill.
- Human Resources or Talent Acquisition experience preferred but not required.
- Relevant Education preferred but not required.
Work Environment: Office setting with friendly, out-going, team-oriented staff. Candidates should anticipate a very fast-paced, productive work environment. Occasionally, the candidate will work in our manufacturing plant environment to interface with operations teammates. This environment includes exposure to high temperatures, moving machinery, moving equipment, heights, and confined spaces.
