PAY RATE: $20/hour + benefits.

In 2016, it established its first American manufacturing facility in Easton, and now, the company is actively increasing its production capacity at its newly established manufacturing facility in San Antonio, Texas.
The main objective of the company is to produce bakery products of exceptional quality.

The Human Resource Specialist assists with the daily functions of the Human Resources (HR) department including hiring and interviewing staff, orientation, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices. The Human Resources Generalist will also assist in the processing of hourly and salaried payroll as needed.

DESCRIPTION:
The Human Resource Specialist assists with the daily functions of the Human Resources (HR) department including hiring and interviewing staff, orientation, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices. The Human Resources Generalist will also assist in the processing of hourly and salaried payroll as needed.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Assist in developing and executing personnel procedures and policies and provide guidance and interpretation for business operations.
- Conducts benefit review during the orientation process.
- Meets with employees who have benefits questions or concerns.
- Follow up with employees or supervisors to make sure their benefit enrollments are completed timely and accurate.
- Review employee benefit eligibility and distributes/update benefit enrollment materials timely.
- Responds to benefits inquiries from managers and employees on plan provisions, benefits enrollment, status changes, and other general benefit inquiries.
- Monitors/manages the Benefits Dept. email.
- Assists with the 401(k)-plan administration including employee enrollments, terminations, and changes. Ensure deductions and loans are correctly set up in the payroll system. Also, coordinate 401k training and education sessions for employees.
- Help with the annual open enrollment process – communications, system testing/set-up, open enrollment meetings, validation of benefits data and elections, etc.
- Process and audit vendor/carrier invoices and bills for accuracy. Work closely with Finance / Accounts Payable to process invoices timely.
- Perform employee benefit changes and updates our HRIS system. Assist with HRIS benefits set-up, testing, running reports, etc.
- Be the primary backup for payroll processing, including biweekly and semimonthly updates to employee files, bonus/incentive pay, vacation/sick pay, hourly employee validations, and benefits changes.
- Suggest new procedures and policies for improving employee experience as well as the efficiency of HR department and company.
- Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale.
- Handles employee and supervisor inquiries, referring complex and sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
- Assists with maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Maintains constant and effective communication with the corporate HR team.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Associate’s degree in Human Resources or related field preferred.
- At least two years of human resource experience is preferred.
- Prior experience in administering and explaining benefit programs is required.
- Prior experience processing payroll
- Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
- Bilingual a plus

- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization's HRIS and talent management systems. Education and Experience
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 25 pounds at times.
- Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities.
