Dohrn is currently seeking a Human Resources Specialist for our Corporate office in Rock Island, IL.

PURPOSE
To provide critical support to recruit, support, train and place employees in the right roles.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

• Produce and manage weekly/monthly reporting of talent pool
• Ensure company recruitment process supports guidelines for equal employment opportunities
• Administer Quarterly and Annual Employee Performance Review Program
• Identify Company's hiring needs
• Ensure recruiting process to ensure it runs smoothly
• Liaison between employment agencies
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of labor laws related to minimum wage, child-labor, overtime and record keeping
• Assist Human Resources manager on development and implementation of hiring strategies
• Respond to employees queries and resolve issues in a timely manner
• Assist with design and implementation of training and development plans with Learning and Development Coordinator
• Consult with department managers to development performance improvement measures and arrange on-the-job training for new employees.
• Assist with leadership development programs for benchmarking/succession planning with Human Resources Manager and Human Resources Director
• Coordinate programs to assistant employees with job transition/retraining to develop/refresh skill sets
• Attend and actively participate in meetings as required
• Organize and maintain personnel records in compliance with laws
• Ensure compliance with Labor Law postings at all locations
• Maintain confidentiality at all times
• Provide excellent customer service
• Participate in HR projects
• Manage multiple duties simultaneously
• Work in a positive, supportive, and cooperative way at all times
• Perform other duties as needed

• Valid Driver License
• 2-year degree and 2 years' experience in Business, HR or other related field and/or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Experience with HR software, HRIS or HRMS preferred
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent data entry and typing skills preferred
• Human Resources experience preferred
• Detail-oriented, analytical thinker, and problem-solver
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and react to change productively
• Ability to navigate multiple computer systems
• Ability to work on tasks independently or in a team environment
• Excellent attendance

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Primarily sedentary work, which involves sitting most of the time
• May be occasionally required to exert up to 20 pounds of force and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects
• The general office environment is favorable; Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are minimal hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc;
• Visual Acuity including regular use of items including a computer screen or monitor
• Manual dexterity is regularly required including fingering, grasping, and typing; manual dexterity includes repetitive motion of the wrists, hands, and fingers
• Talking and hearing required to communicate with and listen to others to share or receive information; May be occasionally exposed to noise including telephone, office machinery, and conversations of others
