Job Description
This role is a hyflex work arrangement: Approximately 1 day onsite per week in Red Wing, MN headquarters office, with remote work eligibility the remainder of the week.
Red Wing Shoes is seeking a Shared Services Manager to join our Human Resources team. This role involves leading a team that provides centralized HR support to employees, managers, and other stakeholders. The HR Shared Service Manager ensures that HR services are delivered efficiently, accurately, and in alignment with the organization's policies and objectives. This role is responsible for driving initiatives focused on continuous improvement activities and exploring the use of technologies to best optimize the teams' services and capabilities.
RESPONSIBLITIES:
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive Shared Services strategy aligned with the organization's goals and objectives.
  • Continuously evaluate and redesign existing processes to improve efficiency, standardization, and scalability of Shared Services operations. Implement best practices and industry standards to drive operational excellence and ensure service delivery meets or exceeds customer expectations. Identify opportunities to automate and digitize processes, leveraging technology to enhance service levels.
  • Oversee the delivery of HR services. Monitor and analyze key performance metrics to ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are met or exceeded. Address and resolve escalated service issues in a timely and effective manner.
  • Partners with HR COE teams (HR Total Rewards, HRBP, Talent Acquisition, Talent teams) to provide seamless and integrated HR support to the organization. Establish strong relationships with internal customers and ensure effective communication.
  • Stays abreast of various global, federal, state, and local laws and ensures the Company's programs and practices are consistently administered and compliant with company policies, local, state, federal and global standards, and government regulations.
  • Oversee the maintenance of HR data in the HRIS and ensure data integrity. Provide regular ad hoc HR reports, dashboards, and analytics to support decision-making and compliance across the HR function and in support of management stakeholders.

Qualifications
Qualified candidates must have a bachelor's degree in HR or a related field and 5 years of experience; or the equivalent combination of education and experience in HR; Experience working with a large HRIS (i.e. PeopleSoft, UKG, ADP, Workday); Experience with implementing technology solutions to enhance Shared Services processes; Experience with HR Shared Services or similar functions preferred.
Candidates should havesolid understanding of HR policies, procedures, and employment laws; Demonstrated experience with process improvements that create greater efficiencies and increased levels of customer service; Self-directed leader with an entrepreneurial spirit who proactively takes ownership over work; Ability to carry out thought-leadership effectively, translating vision and strategy into actionable plans; Ability to influence, engage, and partner closely with appropriate partners across all levels of the organization in program design, planning, change leadership, and conflict resolution; Analytical mindset with the ability to leverage data for decision-making and process improvement; Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-centric approach; Change management and continuous improvement mindset; Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate using the most appropriate approach and messaging based on the audience; Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills with the demonstrated ability to manage through ambiguity and competing priorities.
