- Partners with employees and management to communicate various Human Resources and Payroll policies, procedures, laws, standards, and government regulations.
- Observes legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting Human Resources functions and ensures HR compliance / Safety compliance with policies, procedures, and reporting.
- Key participant in all aspects of the hiring of new personnel including recruiting, interviewing, backkground checks, employment references, and drug screenings.
- Reviews, assesses, and initiates any changes needed to current processes, content, or procedures to best fit with the needs of the business and align with broader company's policies.
- Develops and implements Safety inspection policies, procedures, and schedules routine inspections.
- Inspects the facility to identify safety, health, and environmental risks.
- Oversees Incident and Injury case management ensuring that material safety data sheets are maintained and readily accessible when needed.
- Drafts inspection reports to document inspection findings.
- Prepares and schedules training to cover emergency procedures, workplace safety, and other relevant topics.
- Develops compensation and benefit plans to ensure facility objectives are met.
- Develops facility performance evaluation and provides coaching for Plant leadership, onboarding, performance, and career development.
- Manages Plant recruiting process (schedulling events, coordinating, and processing classes and tour).
- Source and pipeline qualified candidates through a wide variety of channels.
- Evaluates, interviews, and present qualified candidates to hiring managers and solicit feedback on candidates to refine recruiting strategy as applicable.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Occupational Safety & Health or related field.
- 5+ years of experience as a HR Generalist.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office Suite including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Strong Recruiting experience.
- Safety knowledge highly preferred.
- Excellent written, and verbal communication skills, as well as excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently in a dynamic environment of change, challenge, and multiple deadlines and priorities with high attention to detail.
- Bilingual preferred but not required.
