Job Description: Human Resources Representative

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
The primary duties and responsibilities of the Human Resources (HR) Representative encompass various aspects of personnel management, employee relations and organizational development. The HR Representative will assist in recruiting staff, assist in managing training opportunities for staff, participate in disciplinary action meetings, and manage personnel files. The HR Representative will also stay up to date on relevant laws that pertain to Child & Family Support Services, as a voluntary agency under the Office of People with Developmental Disabilities.
Essential Functions
- Recruitment and Selection
- Screen resumes, conduct reference checks and collaborate with program supervisors make well-informed hiring decisions;
- Submit background checks, including the SEL, MHL, SCR, CBC Fingerprinting and Sex Offender Registry;
- Guide applicants through the hiring process and collaborate with program supervisors to ensure smooth onboarding.
- Training and Development
- Collaborate with department heads to identify training needs for staff;
- Communicate with staff to ensure the timely completion of required trainings, including annual trainings;
- Schedule and organize training sessions, workshops, and seminars, ensuring the continuous growth and skill enhancement of staff.
- Employee Performance Management
- Collaborate with program supervisors to assist in managing the performance evaluation process, ensuring that timely and comprehensive assessments are conducted for all staff members.
- Disciplinary Action and Employee Relations
- Participate in disciplinary action meetings as needed, providing guidance and support to supervisors;
- Investigate and address employee complaints and concerns working to resolve conflicts and maintain a positive work environment
- Ensure compliance with agency policies, employment laws and regulations related to employee relations.
- Compliance and Policy Implementation
- Stay informed about relevant employment laws, regulations and industry best-practices, ensuring the agency?s policies and procedures are in compliance;
- Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and guidelines that align with agency goals and values.
$1,000/week - negotiable rate is contingent upon experience and Board approval
