Caterpillar is looking to add a Human Resources Operations Coordinator to their Maintenance Components, part of Product Support & Logistics Division (PSLD). This division, designs and manufactures quality wear and maintenance components which exceed Caterpillar customer's expectations, such as: Fluids & Filters, Hose & Couplings, and Seals, Tubes & Hardware. Maintenance Components is dedicated to continuously maintaining a world-class end-to-end supply chain network with a footprint of 13 global facilities. As the Human Resources Coordinator for our West Plains MO facility, you will have an exciting opportunity to make a difference for Caterpillar people - employees, leaders and the communities within which we live and work.

What you will do:
Success in first year, you would have accomplished:
Building strong trust relationships with the facility manager, his leadership team, all facility employees, and HR colleagues across the division.
Understanding the businesses supported including the local workforce and local community.
Clear understanding of the HR tasks and challenges at the facility.
Job duties include but are not limited to:
Answering general questions and inquiries in all areas of HR
Prepare documents, track and report on metrics and measurements for HR functions and provide data to management
Seek opportunities to partner with the local Community
Handle confidential material within the HR department
Own New Hire Orientation Training and Onboarding processes for facility
Facility Learning Coordinator - own annual learning plan, training and development initiatives for facility
Coordinate employee recognition programs
Maintain the company vehicles
Create monthly all employee meeting presentations
Assist with duties associated with Governmental regulations and internal investigations
Project management for cost savings opportunities
Oversee Cat Merchandise store
Facility Badge access coordinator
Assist employees with facility benefits such as Uniforms, Safety Shoes, Prescription Safety Glasses, Cat Merchandise, etc.
Complete special assignments and projects as assigned
Various other HR related duties

What you will have:

 Experience: 3 years + Human Resources experience in a coordinator and/or generalist role. Business Process Improvement - Knowledge of business process improvement best practices and ability to use methods for identifying, evaluating, introducing, and implementing more efficient approaches to performing business related activities. Experience with Workday or other HRIS. Public Speaking - Must be willing and able to speak in front of employees.

Human Resources Consulting and Operations - Knowledge of HR approaches, tools, and techniques; ability to inform, guide and advise managers in HR-related initiatives.
Policies, Standards and Procedures - Knowledge of human resource function; ability to uphold the organization's and industry's standards, procedures, and policies regarding HUMAN RESOURCES management.
Employee Relations - Knowledge of the rights and obligations in the employee relations; ability to adhere to legal requirements when handling employee negotiations.
Accuracy and Attention to Detail - Understanding the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision.
Service Excellence - Knowledge of customer service concepts and techniques; ability to meet or exceed customer needs and expectations and provide excellent service in a direct or indirect manner. Strong Computer skills -including Office 365 Suite
Teamwork - Must have demonstrated ability to work together as a team.
Organization - Must have demonstrated the ability to keep the overview despite multi-tasking as well as meeting deadlines.
Confidentiality - Must have demonstrated the ability to maintain confidentiality with confidential matters.
Safety Focus - Works safely and looks out for the safety of others.
Communication - Must be able to effectively communicate to all level of employees, customers, and partners. Communications must be clear, concise, and non-threatening. Must be able to listen effectively.
 Flexibility - Must be flexible and willing to work flexible schedules as this position may call for occasional time required outside of normal work hours to support off shift events and training activities.
