As the Human Resources Associate, you will partner with our HR and Payroll team to manage the onboarding process. This includes completing background checks, setting up HRIS and benefits, handling documentation such as I9 and verification, and administering payroll. Your role is crucial in ensuring our people operations run smoothly and our employees have a clear understanding of their benefits and pay.
Collaboration is key, and you'll work closely with the team to continuously improve our HR support and deliver best-in-class service to our colleagues. To succeed in this role, you'll need demonstrated experience with HRIS systems, benefits, and payroll administration. Additionally, a strong customer service commitment, problem-solving skills, and advanced skills in Excel are essential.

Duties & Responsibilities:
    • Maintain personnel records and documentation, including new hire paperwork, Federal I-9 documents, EEO records, electronic human resource information system records, and any other relevant documentation.
    • Compile reports from the database as needed.
    • Assist with semi-monthly payroll administration and other payroll related functions as necessary.
    • Actively handle benefits administration responsibilities, including conducting benefits enrollment orientation for new employees, troubleshooting, distributing annual employee notices as required, and assisting with benefits reporting requirements, including some month-end reconciliation reporting, as well as annual Open Enrollment activities.
    • Support Talent Acquisition by participating in onboarding efforts as needed for exempt and nonexempt personnel, which may include pre-employment testing, offer letters, and background checks.
    • Coordinate the semi-monthly new hire orientation program, including scheduling orientation sessions, conducting new-employee orientations, and ensuring all documentation is complete and in compliance with internal policies and practices, as well as all applicable federal and state requirements.
    • Quickly respond to HR escalation tickets using our ticketing system, Jira. Respond to internal customers and follow through resolution.
    • Document change requests, approvals, and modifications to payroll, employee data, and record-keeping.
    • Assist in the administration of annual and off-cycle compensation programs. Help monitor the performance management process. Use advanced Excel skills and techniques to manage large files, manipulate and analyze data, upload and download files to various vendors, and provide information as requested in support of our compensation and payroll programs.
    • Ensure the accuracy of our company organization charts by consistently documenting changes.
    • Serve as the point of contact in HR for employees' pay and benefits needs, escalating to a more senior member of the team when appropriate.
    • Assist the HR team with various special projects that impact employee experience, growth, development, and retention throughout the year.
    • Maintain appropriate levels of confidentiality and ensure all functions are completed accurately and in a timely manner, in line with our Human Resources policies and procedures.

Requirements:
    • Minimum of 3 years of relevant Human Resources administration experience, with a general understanding of Human Resources principles and guidelines.
    • Experience working with payroll & HRIS systems, applicant tracking systems, general reporting systems
    • High proficiency in full MS Office suite, including advanced Excel skills
    • Comfortable interacting and engaging with colleagues from all levels of management across all business units and third-party firms.
    • Ability to work effectively both independently and as a team member in a fast paced and team orientated environment, as well as virtually.
    • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills; effective communicator with the ability to build relationships with others to work efficiently.
    • Strong planning and organizational skills with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
    • Outstanding problem solving, judgement, and critical thinking skills with strong detail orientation.
    • Commitment to high quality, accurate work and dedication to continuous improvement and learning.

Preferred
    • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or another relevant/related field.
    • Human Resources Certification (PHR and/or SHRM-CP).
    • Previous experience working in Financial Services.

$50,000 - $80,000 a year
