Job Summary
The Human Resources Manager (HRM) is responsible for the oversight of routine HR functions, to include policy development and enforcement, benefits and payroll administration, hiring/onboarding, recruitment/retention, professional training/development, performance management process, and leave management. In addition to supporting the success of the organization and its strategic objectives, the HRM will also oversee compliance to ensure current policies and practices align with applicable local, state and federal laws and regulations.
While the position is remote, preference will be given to candidates who live in Vermont or in the neighboring region for ease of travel to our office for periodic onsite meetings.

- Ability to function well on a hard working team that is driven by excellence.
- Working familiarity with HIPAA preferred.
- Proficiency with Google Workspace and Proliant payroll software preferred.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business, Human Resources or a related area of study.
- Minimum of three years HR experience (policy and personnel) with progressive responsibility.
- Experience with federal and multiple state labor regulations/compliance.
- Payroll and benefits management experience.
- Recruitment/retention and onboarding experience.
- Experience with supporting remote staff.
- SHRM Certified professional (SHRM-CP) or PHR certification preferred.
- A private and distraction-free workspace for HIPAA compliance, along with reliable and sufficiently high speed internet service.
