Job Description
Designs, plans, and implements Human Resources programs and policies including employee/labor relations, compensation, benefits administration, employment, training, policies and procedures, and related programs and activities. Ensures the company's compliance with applicable employment laws and regulations. Supervises human resource professionals and/or Human Resources support staff.
Minimum Qualifications:- Undergraduate degree in human resource management or a related degree; or comparable work experience
7+ years of experience in human resource management - At least 10+ years of experience in commercial, civil, and/or federal construction industry
- Experience working in a Human Resources capacity within the construction industry
Human Resources certification (e.g., SHRM- CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR)
- Administers or oversees the administration of human resource programs including, but not limited to, compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development
- Monitors and ensures the organization's compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews and modifies policies and practices to maintain compliance
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in Human Resources, talent management, and employment law; applies this knowledge to communicate changes in policy, practice, and resources to upper management
- Identifies staffing and recruiting needs; develops and executes best practices for hiring and talent management
- Lead the University Recruiting program for the recruitment of interns and new university graduates to meet organizational goals
- Manages the operation and maintenance of the HRIS and HCM platform
- Sustains regular face time with all our people, including those working in other states and on project sites to continuously build credibility & trust, establishing strong relationships at all levels, driving a culture that demonstrates that people are our highest priority
- Lead weekly people meetings with executive team to discuss workforce planning, people metrics, upcoming hires and terminations, and HR calendar
- Connects with managers and employees to identify, discuss, and resolve problems in a constructive, calm and understanding manner, while conferring with legal counsel to implement disciplinary actions as necessary
- Provides advice and consultation on complex employee relations matters
- Collaborates with senior leadership to understand the organization's goals and strategy related to staffing, recruiting, and retention
- Plans, leads, develops, coordinates, and implements policies, processes, training, initiatives, and surveys to support the organization's human resource compliance and strategy needs
- Conducts research and analysis of organizational trends including review of reports and metrics from the organization's human resource information system (HRIS)
- Involved in the development of the annual HR business plan, to include the identification of specific HR initiatives and deliberate actions required to achieve goals
- Utilizes experience, expertise, and research to provide input and recommendations regarding compensation plans and strategies
- Involved in the development and implementation of the departmental budget
- Facilitates professional development, training, and certification activities for HR staff
- Provides direct management and oversight, performance evaluation, and feedback for direct reports

Pay: $90,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
