Position Summary:
Under the direction of the Executive Director, the Human Resources Manager is responsible for managing, administering, and coordinating the Human Resources function. This includes, but is not limited to, HR compliance, policy/procedure, recruiting, onboarding, staff credentialing, orientation, benefits, compensation, training, and employee relations
- Reviews and maintains HR compliant policies and procedures such as, but not limited to, the employee handbook, procedures for recruitment/staffing, orientation/on-boarding, leave administration, performance management, compensation, benefits, payroll, orientation and employee relations.
- Designs, implements and maintains leadership training and development.
- Coordinates the annual climate survey (STAR).
- Determines job market values and updates job documentation/descriptions.
- Directs the benefits and workers compensation contract renewal process.
- Facilitates follow-up on first reports of injury and workers compensation claims
- Coordinates leave of absence procedures
- Implements, maintains, and coordinates random drug testing policy.
- Supports benefits education and communication strategies.
- Drafts employee newsletter
- Monitors and maintains employee records of credentialing, certifications, and licensing status
- Coordinates all pre-employment requirements including scheduling interviews, initiating background checks, coordinating drug screens and license/certification verifications.
- Verifies the new hire/monthly OIG and GA exclusions lists.
- Coordinates onboarding for all the new hires
- Designs performance evaluation tools for use by leadership
- Coaches management in employee relations, employee supervision and performance feedback
- Participates in Department of Labor and other employee related inquiries as required.
- Serve as the on-site administrator of the HRIS system. Trains new staff, processes new hires and terminations and troubleshoots problems with system technical support. Updates employee changes to system on an on-going basis.
- Maintains the onboarding and terminations for employee access to the EMR, RX System, and the online audio training program system.
- Provides support for financial reports, analysis and audits as required.
- Coordinates employee events
- Completes HGI annual required in-services
- All other duties as may be assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) in business or human resources with at least four to six years of experience in human resources management.
- Certification as SPHR desired as well as additional technical certifications such as benefits and compensation management and HR law.
- Technical knowledge of labor regulations and compliance requirements required.
- Strong communication, interpersonal skills and analytical skills are required.
- Knowledge and experience in the use of Microsoft Excel and Word are essential
