Brella Productions, a Creative Production Agency for Corporate Events and Training, is hiring an experienced, HR Manager with a background in supporting a remote/hybrid workforce. This position will be almost exclusively remote. In this growth focused role, you will be leading all HR functions, including all phases of employee lifecycle, HR policies, compliances, payroll and benefits and performance management.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks:
Recruiting and On-boarding:
- Lead the recruiting and selection process.
- Manage digital on-boarding process in HRIS and related software. Includes facilitation between manager, trainers, and technical team to ensure new hires have all documentation, equipment, orientation and training mapped out and prepared from Day 0 through end of on-boarding (typically 6 months).
Strategic and Compliance Management:
- Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
- Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation, and preservation of human capital.
- Develop and monitor overall HR strategies, systems, tactics, and procedures across the organization.
- Ensure equitable and competitive compensation and benefits plans.
- Act as administrator and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices.
- Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in Human Resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Consult with training, coaching, benefits, legal and other HR advisors as needed.
HRIS, Payroll and Benefits Management:
- Act as administrator of HRIS. Includes digital management of employee data, ATS, payroll processing, employee benefits enrollment and management, compliance tracking, and employee facing HR documents and policies.
- Act as employee benefits administrator. Assess current and future benefit needs, advantages and costs and present recommendations to executive leadership.
- Schedule year-round educational outreach on employee benefits.
- Audit employee benefit and compensation changes for payroll.
- Maintains historical human resource records in compliance with federal, state and corporate requirements.
Performance Management:
- Regularly meet with managers for employee progress reviews and performance assessments. Discuss individual performance development goals, issues, and opportunities. Develop training support plans as needed.
- Assess corporate/team/individual training needs to develop or procure training programs.
- Regularly meet with employees for progress reviews and assessments, discussing any problems or grievances they may have.
- Support a clear, equitable and inclusive workplace through education and coaching; hearing and resolving employee grievances; counseling employees and supervisors.
Company Culture and Communication:
- Promote a positive and open work environment of learning, discussion, and growth. Ensure all team members have a respected voice in the organization and the opportunity and means to flourish.
- Plan remote friendly team and culture building activities and events.
- Manage employee newsletter and other HR communications.
- Proven working experience of 5+ years as an HR generalist or manager.
- Skilled in using productivity software and HRIS systems such as: Paylocity, Quick Books, ClickUp, Microsoft Excel, Slack, and standard benefit portals.
- Excellent active listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Strong interpersonal and analytical skills.
- Ability to have hard conversations with empathy.
- Proven work experience in a remote only or hybrid-remote environments.
- In-depth knowledge of benefits, labor law and HR best practices.
- Familiarity with training facilitation.
- Comprehensive knowledge of talent sourcing and recruiting techniques.
- Ability to handle and analyze data with confidentiality.
