Boston Government Services is seeking an HR Manager to lead the Human Resources team in Oak Ridge, TN.

What You Will Do:
- Manage and administer compensation, benefits, and performance management systems.
- Coach and advise managers on policies, procedures, and effective team leadership.
- Analyze and modify compensation and benefits policies to establish competitive programs and ensure compliance with legal requirements.
- Plan, direct, supervise, and coordinate work activities of HR team relating to benefits, compensation, payroll, performance management, and employee relations.
- Maintain records and compile statistical reports concerning employee data such as hires, transfers, performance appraisals, and absenteeism rates.
- Conduct exit interviews to identify reasons for employee termination.
- Oversee the evaluation and classification of occupations and job positions.
- Collaborates with senior leadership to understand the organization's goals and strategy related to HR related initiative.
- Facilitates professional development, training, and certification activities for HR staff.
- Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in Human Resources, talent management, and employment law and apply this knowledge to effectively communicate changes in policy, practice, and resources to upper management.
- Ensure mandatory training and continuing education is completed and documented.
- Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, changes to regulations, HR technology, government contracting, and employment law.
- Knowledge of compliance and requirements for multi-state payroll.
- Maintain company policies and procedures and ensure compliance with state, federal, and government contracting requirements.
- Assist employees with benefit programs and leave requests.
- Comply with all federal, state, and government contract employment laws, regulations, and reporting.
- Manage all details and coordination of disciplinary discussions, terminations, and investigations.
- Ensure payroll is accurate and meets cyclical deadlines and reporting.
- Provides support and guidance to management and employees when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise.
- Using data-driven approach, partner with management to determine best strategy/actions for solving business challenges.
- Ensure professionalism and confidentiality in all aspects of the role.
You Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, business administration, or related discipline.
- 10+ years’ government experience in Human Resources.
- 5+ years leadership experience.
- Must have the ability to work in the US with or without sponsorship.
- Successful drug screening.
Ideally, You Will Bring:
- SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification.
- Demonstrated ability to multitask and remain calm in challenging situations.
- conflict resolution skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to display integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality always.
- Strong knowledge of HR laws and regulations.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite software.
- Proficient in HRIS and talent management systems.

- This position is located in Oak Ridge, TN, and is a Hybrid Work Arrangement.
