Job Title: Human Resources Intern
Job Type: Part time or Full Time based upon availability

Reports To: Director of Human Resources
General Description To provide support to the Human Resources Department by performing the essential job duties as described below:
Essential Job Functions include the following, other duties may be assigned:
- Assists Human Resources staff by gaining knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and helps to ensure policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance.
- Assist in routine scanning and filing of confidential documents.
- Collect Onboarding forms and create files for all new hires.
- Create and mail new hire training and other documents.
- Create and maintain company documents.
- Review and inspect forms for completion and accuracy.
- Maintains employment files.
- Verify documents to complete all I-9 verifications for new hires within allotted time frame.
- Manage changes to company directory and send out updated information as necessary.
- Send appropriate employment documents to the correct internal departments.
- Conduct check-ins with all new hires at the 30-, 60-, and 90-day mark.
- Performs exit surveys on any voluntary terminations.
- Utilizes mediums and tools to identify and generate quality candidates for open positions and to enhance employment branding.
- Order necessary supplies for new and existing partners.
- Other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience
Minimum requirement of High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and in process of pursuing Associate or Bachelors degree. Human resources emphasis or major is a plus.
Language Skills
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite of products, primarily Word and Excel. Familiarity with a human resources information system or time and attendance software is a plus.
