What We Need
DFT is looking for a HR Generalist to join the team during an exciting period of expansion within the company. The HR Generalist is responsible to assess personnel policies, programs, and procedures, and informs employee and management personnel on the interpretation of them. Performs professional level Human Resources work and carries out responsibilities in one or more functional areas, such as, staffing, employee relations, compensation, training, employment, labor relations, safety, affirmative action and employment equity programs, and personnel research. As well as team player in collaborating with various departments within an organization.
What You'll Do
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment and benefits laws and regulations.
- Keep aware of employment related law, changing legal regulations and trends in the field of HR and report findings.
- Develop job families and employee career mapping.
- Manage employee relation issues.
- Involvement in recruitment and hiring process.
- Respond to staff inquiries regarding leaves, benefits and other HR related topics or issues.
- Enter and maintain human resource data and review for accuracy in ADP Workforce Now
- Maintain training documentation and files and enter this information in the appropriate systems.
- Generate correspondence, administrative reports and related documentation as assigned.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned by Manager.
Required Skills/Qualifications
- 5-8 years' experience working as a HR Generalist
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources Management, or other related field and at least five years of experience is preferred.
- Familiarity with ADP or other HRIS system is preferred.
- Knowledge of employment -related laws FMLA, ADA, HIPAA, FCRA, IRCA, etc., and knowledge of benefits administration is preferred.
- Ability to practice discretion and maintain strict confidentiality and security of personnel files and information.
- Ability to prioritize workload, multitask and pay close attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well independently is required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office required, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Exceptional time management and attention to detail.
What We Offer
Salary Range – $80,000- $100,000
The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations.
