Job Description
This position will operate in a hybrid work environment, 3 days per week in the office (Philadelphia, PA). We are open to students working part-time during the school year and full-time in the summer for this position.
OVERVIEW:
The HR Co-op will support the core functions of the Human Resources department. This is a heavily project-based role, and candidates will need to assist as needed with various short and long-term projects within the HR department. This Co-op will provide an opportunity to develop professional skills while gaining exposure to the business to further your general knowledge of a real-life corporate experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The main daily responsibilities for this role are to ensure employee records are up to date and accurate and to assist with administrative support for the HR team (Talent Acquisition, Compliance, Total Rewards, etc.). You will have the opportunity to work with a developing HR team pushing for big changes inside a rapidly growing financial services firm. You will have access to networking opportunities in other departments to gain a full perspective on Glenmede and its company culture.
Talent Acquisition. Reviews resumes to source candidates who best fit the job description. Schedules candidate interviews for open positions across the firm. Runs Drexel’s Co-op recruiting process through Steinbright for all positions.
HR administrative support. Organizes and supports company-wide information meetings such as open enrollment, new hire orientation, and meetings to announce or discuss changes in retirement or benefits plans. Provides administrative support to the Human Resources department. Supports the talent acquisition team with the full life cycle recruiting process (job postings, scheduling, hiring, and onboarding). Assists with updating HR internal site to ensure the most up-to-date information is posted for employees. Ad-hoc reporting and assists with auditing employee data in the HR Information System. Opens mail and directs correspondence to the appropriate area.
Employee records. Maintains employee records, ensuring completion and accuracy of details such as employee contact information, job classification, pay rates, organizational structure, and other key details. Maintains both hard and digital copies of employees' records. Assists with ongoing transition of internal employee recordkeeping database from Oracle to ADP.
Learning Management System Administration. Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training and continuing education. This may include data and privacy training, anti- harassment training, professional licensure, and certifications. Coordinate with Compliance Department to ensure material is up to date. Organize annual compliance training for the business. Uploading and creating training courses. Assigning proper training to employees. Assisting employees on accessing training. Building Reports for compliance to Audit weekly
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program and ideally a rising junior or senior.
- We accept varying majors, business majors preferred.
- Excellent communication skills required.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook and Excel.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
- Must be able to prioritize and accomplish many tasks simultaneously.
- Must be well organized, accurate, and have great attention to detail, particularly with calendar management and data entry.
- Ability to interact effectively with other employees and candidates with an energetic and positive attitude.
- Proactive self-starter with the ability to work both independently and as a part of a larger team.
