Job Description:
As a Cobb Human Resources Client Partner (HRCP), you will be responsible for handling the daily functions of the Human Resources (HR) department including the coordination of recruitment and on-boarding of new staff, administering pay, benefits, and leave, and helping to enforce company policies and practices.
Responsibilities:
- Administer all aspects of payroll processing, including accurate and timely distribution of salaries, tax withholding, and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Administer all aspects of benefits processing, including enrollments, COBRA, terminations, status changes, beneficiaries, FMLA, Workers' Compensation and disability claims.
- Maintain and update HRIS systems to ensure accurate employee records and data.
- Assist in on-boarding of new hires.
- Maintain employee records and keep files up to date, process employee status changes in HRIS/payroll system in a timely manner and sustain electronic and paper storage of all personnel files.
- Provide day-to-day HR support to employees for payroll and benefits inquiries.
- Collaborate with management to identify and address employee development and training needs.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in Human Resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field.
- Experience in Human Resources with a focus on payroll and benefits administration.
- SHRM-CP a plus.
- Strong understanding of federal and state employment laws and regulations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate/escalate them when appropriate.
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Ability to work both independently and as a member of a team.
- Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the Company's payroll, HRIS, and applicant tracking systems.
