POSITION TITLE

Human Resources Manager

 

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Human Resources Manager helps coordinates on/off boarding, data integrity, and provides guidance and expertise on HR policies.  The HR Manager is a generalist who has responsibility for all HR functions including safety, employment, development, training, benefit administration, and communication.

Position Summary:  This position is located at the Polartec Tennessee Manufacturing Plant (PTM) - located in Cleveland, TN.  This position will have HR responsibility for the PTM Plant.  This position works with the Plant Manager and location team in the areas of policies, programs, and practices that are part of the company's human resources strategy.  This position reports to the Plant Manager with guidance from Division and Corporate HR.  Expected travel is approximately 5% or less.  This position will require extended hours at times and working across different shifts on a 7-day operation.
 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Consistently administer core Human Resources functions and compliance areas to include:
    •  Safety Process
    • Company Policies and Procedures
    • Benefits Program
    • Salary Administration
    • Workers Compensation
  2. Verbal and written communication, and ability to interact effectively to all production, administrative, and management associates, as well as corporate HR staff
  3. Lead the talent acquisition process including developing/maintaining job descriptions, sourcing, screening, and interviewing candidates; maintaining the Talent Central job posting system
  4. Leads the location Safety Process (safety process using Enablon, attend safety steering committee team meetings, lead New Hire Safety class).  Assists in managing OSHA Programs and Workers Compensation.  Safety leadership is a significant part of this position.
  5. Act as a trusted advisor and thought partner to the Plant Manager, and management team on all location matters (strategic and operating)
  6. Lead special HR related projects and surveys
  7. Maintain specific reports and ensure timely completion (turnover, safety, local/regional compensation data)
  8. Manage the on-boarding process for new hires and the off-boarding process for voluntary/involuntary terminations
  9. Demonstrate a high level of confidentiality at all times
  10. Manage training associates by:
    • Fostering a working environment that promotes open communications, teamwork and individual engagement to accomplish goals and objectives
    • Ensuring that work is properly allocated and completed in a timely and accurate manner
    • Ensuring that written performance evaluations of supervised employees are completed as required, provides continuous feedback on personnel performance issues, and takes immediate action to recognize achievements and address deficiencies or problems.

 

QUALIFICATIONS - REQUIRED

  • 5+ years of Human Resources experience or other relevant manufacturing experience
  • Attention to accuracy of highly detailed information
  • Knowledge of Employment Law, Benefits Administration, Compensation and Wage Structure
  • Willingness to be CPR/1st Aid Certified
     

QUALIFICATIONS - PREFERRED

  • Bi-lingual verbal communication (English/Spanish)
  • Experience with SAP
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment. 
  • Experience with OSHA guidelines and workplace safety processes
