Human Resource Advisor

• We are hiring immediately for a HR Advisor position.
• Location:Mountain View, CA. Note: online applications accepted only.
• Schedule:Monday - Friday
• 80,000 - 90,000 / year DOE

The role will focus on people projects, management skills training, compliance, etc. for our client's Food program in order to support operational excellence. This role will leverage their strong knowledge of local laws and company labor guidelines, training, coaching, and mentoring skills. Ability to influence and partner with key stakeholders (culinary, nutrition, marketing, behavioral science, concept development, procurement, risk management, operations, and the other members of the HR Team) to promote all people standards, meet clients' expectations and enhance employee experience.

Job Summary

• Employee relations - manage people issues as they arise with your operational partners
• Maintain all local laws and company employment guidelines consistently. •Partner with managers and chefs to draft and edit employee written documentation, job descriptions, etc.
• Manage and complete HR investigations as necessary.
• Follow all Compass and HR and recruiting processes.
• Help employees who visit the HR office with issues and questions.
• Complete HR projects for the leadership team.
• Analyze employee data and create reporting for management.
• Partner with HRSC as needed.
• Manage worker's comp claims with the GM for Safety.
• Respond to external agency administration such as EDD, etc. in line with company policy.
• Train, coach and mentor managers, supervisors and employees.
• Complete administration in PeopleHub, etc. as needed to support the HR Coordinators as needed.
• Utilize and maximize Compass HR systems, including training managers to use them.
• Support the HR Team as needed.
• Participate in weekly HR calls with HRBP and Sr. HRM

Qualifications

• College degree or equivalent work experience. PHR a plus
• 3 to 5 years HR experience in a generalist setting.
• Bi-lingual - Spanish preferred but not required
• Prior union/labor relations experience preferred
• Ability to work in a team and influence across job functions and company levels.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to teach and train various subjects to individuals and small groups.
• Strong commitment to confidentiality.
