The HSE Advisor III provides support, coaching and advice to all client personnel on the implementation of the HSE management practices, procedures, and systems related to health, safety and environment. This position will use data and external information to develop and implement the safety and environmental policies. This role will lead the HSE initiatives for the client. The HSE Advisor will be cognizant of the issues and challenges facing the client and coordinate the strengths, resources, and capabilities to achieve the client’s goals and objectives. They will use progressive work and education experience to increase knowledge, improve expertise and demonstrate a knowledge-sharing behavior to help create and sustain a productive work culture and uncompromised commitment to the protection of the employees and the environment.

Specific Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Drive cross-functional teamwork to ensure compliance with local regulations and internal procedures;
- Develop, deploy, and sustain Environmental guidelines, procedures, and practices;
- Work with the Operations, Projects, Facilities, Drilling and Completions teams and contractors, and sub-contractors to review EH&S programs and procedures;
- Manage offshore National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Program for vessels and platform;
- Work with operations to ensure that hazardous and oilfield specific wastes are managed according to federal and state regulations;
- Manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment;
- Develop and maintain knowledge of existing and proposed regulations;
- Coordinate other Environmental planning tasks, meeting preparation, data analysis and reports as required by leadership;
- Serve as a subject matter expert by contributing both ideas and expertise in the development of Environmental training and role specific competencies;

Qualifications
Education: High School diploma or GED. Bachelor’s degree in Safety Science, Environmental Science, or related field strongly preferred.
Experience: Eight (8) or more years of experience in related position/industry required. Prior incident investigation facilitator experience. Previous workover or drilling rig experience is strongly preferred.
Other Required Skills, Knowledge or Abilities: Ability to quickly become proficient in the care and use of all site specific, location required Personal Protection Equipment. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, etc. Understanding of Human Performance, Managing Safe Work standards (IHE, hot work, lifting/rigging, etc.), and workover/wells operations. Demonstrated understanding of occupational health and safety requirements. Incumbent be able to analyze information and using logic to address work-related issues and problems. Detail oriented and thorough in completing work tasks.
Required Licenses or Specific Training: Must have a valid driver’s license from state of residence and valid proof of vehicle insurance. Must possess good driving record and be insurable for Total Safety vehicle insurance while driving company truck. Must be willing travel to customers site and available for travel for short and long-term out-of-town and/or offshore projects.
Interpersonal Communications: Strong leadership and verbal communication skills. Ability to read, write and comprehend English (operational, process, safety and quality instructions.) Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Must demonstrate ability to work in a team environment and willingness to assume additional or new responsibilities readily. Second language is a plus. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization required.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk;
and stoop, kneel, or crouch. Uses hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and
arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must
occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds with assistance. Specific vision abilities
required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to
adjust focus.
Work Environment
Customer oil & gas locations offshore or land base environment, and/or shop. May be frequently exposed to wet, humid, outside and extreme weather conditions and vibration.
Possible Work Hazards: High pressure, high elevations, chemicals, shop traffic, and offshore drilling rigs or production platforms. The noise level in work environment is usually moderate to high.
