Job description

HR/Training Assistant
Position Purpose:
Enthusiastically contributes to the daily administration and coordination of training functions and events. Provide administrative support for the human resource department that includes a range of administrative duties to be handled with strict confidentiality and discretion where required. Responsible for duties related to the delivery of training and delivery both in person and online.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Schedules training and coordinates with instructor to ensure preparation.
  • Research new training methods to improve experience for staff.
  • Assist with developing, designing, and creating new training as needed.
  • Obtain and distribute instructional materials.
  • Aids staff with registration and scheduling in person, via the Hotspot and BAI.
  • Uses resources to enter data and produce training reports.
  • Administers training software included but not limited to BAI, FICEP, and Policy Tech.
  • Update training materials to ensure information remains current.
  • Assist with facilitating new hire onboarding, training, and orientation.
  • Coordinate outsourced training with approved consultants and credit union partners.
  • Demonstrate a high level of understanding of policies and procedures.
  • Maintains and organizes career development plans and training curriculums.
  • Works harmoniously with all staff, credit union partners, and departments.
  • Assist branch and administrative staff with operational training, certification program, and
  • special projects as requested.
  • Keep abreast of new technologies, training trends, and products and services of the credit union.
  • Well informed of BSA and OFAC compliance requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Specification
College Degree Preferred.
Financial industry experience preferred.
Training Requirements
On the job training
Maintain knowledge of Microsoft Office Products, Core Processing Systems, Bank Secrecy Act and OFAC rules and regulations.
Work Experience
Strong service and sales capabilities.
2-3 years’ financial institution experience required.

Physical Requirements:
Perform primarily sedentary work with limited physical exertion and occasional lifting of up to 10 lbs. Must be capable of climbing/descending stairs in emergency situations. Must be able to operate routine office equipment including telephone, copier, facsimile and calculator. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day. Must be able to work extended hours whenever required or requested by management. Must by capable of regular, reliable, and timely attendance.
Other Requirements:
Must be able to perform job functions with supervision and work effectively either on own or as part of a team. Must be able to read and carry out various instructions and follow oral instructions. Must be able to speak clearly and deliver information in a logical and understandable sequence. Must be able to perform basic mathematical calculations with extreme accuracy. Must be capable of dealing calmly and professionally with numerous different personalities from diverse cultures at various levels within and outside of the organization and demonstrate highest levels of customer service and discretion when dealing with the public. Must be able to perform responsibilities with composure under the stress of deadlines/requirements for extreme accuracy and quality and/or fast pace. Must be able to effectively handle multiple, simultaneous, and changing priorities. Must be capable of exercising highest level of discretion on confidential matters.
