Headquartered in Vancouver, Washington, NJFC has been providing our nation’s discerning foodservice, retail, industrial and institutional customers with the finest quality canned and pouched products for over 50 years. NJFC operates three production facilities: Northwest Packing in Vancouver, WA.; San Benito Foods, in Hollister, CA; and Toma-Tek in Firebaugh, CA.

We are looking for an HRIS Administrator to support the Company’s central human resources information and payroll systems to provide time, personnel, organizational, and other human resources (HR) services. Provides technical and functional support, subject matter expertise, analysis, maintenance, and implementation of HR Information Systems (HRIS) and HR technology needs as appropriate. Performs audits to ensure that payroll information is processed in accordance with applicable approvals, policies, procedures, practices, reporting requirements, and regulations. This role will be responsible for providing direct payroll transaction support for payroll processing, payroll tax reporting and payables at our corporate headquarters in Vancouver, WA.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leads and/or supports implementation and use of HRIS systems, including configuration, customization, and administration of major HR Systems.
  • Testing and troubleshooting program updates and new releases to ensure the quality, sustainability and efficiency of HR systems and processes while also recommending/executing any procedural changes.
  • Develops and creates HRIS training materials and trains users on relevant new and changed program usage requirements.
  • Creates functional requirements in support of HRIS, time and attendance, employee scheduling systems end-users, and assists in identifying any software solutions to fulfill new HR needs.
  • Evaluates and analyzes system performance and limitations and provides technical support relating to the payroll program and system operations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field with focus in business analysis, functional analysis or operational/process improvement disciplines; or, any equivalent combination of experience and training that demonstrates the ability to successfully perform the key responsibilities of this position.
  • 3+ years’ experience in HRIS and payroll or related area, preferably with multi-state, multi-entity employer. Experience in seasonal manufacturing or food processing preferred.
  • Thorough knowledge of administration and support of integrated HRIS/Payroll and timekeeping systems; ADP/Workforce Now and Enterprise eTime preferred; demonstrated knowledge of administration and maintenance of employee scheduling solutions (Worksight Scheduler).
  • Good knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the Human Resources, Payroll, HRIS and Benefits fields; federal and state payroll requirements; labor regulations; and wage and hour tax laws, particularly for the States of California and Washington.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test, background check including employment and educational verification, credit screen, and to work extended schedule and occasional weekends during the fresh pack season, typically July to early November.

Compensation:

The salary range is $75,000 - $90,000, based on experience and qualifications.
