What You'll Do:
We’re looking for a HR Shared Services Rep to join our HR Service Center team. In this role, you’ll have a dotted line to our Talent Acquisition team and play a key role in the onboarding, administration and operational support which directly impacts candidates of Principal!
- Administer new employee onboarding procedures for new hires ensuring completion of key new hire forms (i.e., I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification Form) in accordance with State and Federal regulations and connect with new hires to answer questions and provide quality onboarding experience.
- Support coordination of weekly New Employee Corporate Orientation including generating, manipulating, and distributing reports according to specified guidelines.
- Coordinate annual background check processes and audits and interpret results in accordance with company guidelines.
- Collaborate within a team to share ideas, ownership, and accountability for driving improvements and consistency of execution for key HR processes.
- Train on other transactional HR processes and provide backup support as needed

Who You Are:Skills That Are Required:
- Associate's degree or equivalent
- 1+ years of related work experience required (eg: working in a contact center or engagement center).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow prescribed procedures.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Positive demeanor and customer-first mentality.
- Ability to navigate technologies, shifting priorities and tight, timely service level measurements.
- Proficiency with MS Office programs including Outlook, Word, OneNote, and Teams.
- Technically savvy with the ability to learn and understand a broad range of HR services referencing appropriate systems, tools, and resources.
Skills That Will Help You Stand Out
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Experience with Adobe Sign a plus.
- Preference for someone with an HR background and interests.
This role will be based out of our Des Moines, IA office location as it supports Talent Acquisition work and processes and potential need for on-site work. You'll have the ability for in-office, hybrid (blending both office and remote work in a typical work week).
