Job Description
Work Arrangement:
This role is based remotely, but if you live within a 50-mile radius of Atlanta, Austin, Detroit, Warren, Pontiac, Milford or Mountain View, you are expected to report to that location three times a week, at minimum.
The Role:
As HR Partner for Global Human Resources, you will play a pivotal role in aligning HR strategies with the overall goals of the organization. Serving as a strategic partner to HR leaders and professionals, you will contribute to the development and execution of HR initiatives to enhance the employee experience, support talent development, and ensure HR practices are in line with organizational objectives while exercising boldness and managerial courage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with business leaders to understand organizational goals and develop HR strategies to support them
- Consult and provide guidance on business restructures, specific transformation efforts, job leveling and workforce planning
- Coach, mentor and advise HR leadership and employees to grow and develop in alignment with business and personal goals
- Manage and facilitate HR Manager Forum and HR for HR Calls
- Participate in Global HR Leadership Team staff meetings
- Partner with HR Business Planner on strategic HR initiatives
- Manage all HR ECT programs (including summer internships and HR TRACK program)
- Navigate and resolve employee relations issues, being as clear and transparent as possible to help employees understand how people decisions are made
- Lead succession planning, talent reviews and annual employee lifecycles, ensuring all people decisions are based on data
- Promote positive employee relations through identifying trends, evaluating data and anecdotes, and leveraging employee feedback through engagement mechanisms
- Support employees and managers with routine, day-to-day HR questions, needs, and inquiries
- Ensure data integrity in HRIS (Workday) systems and daily maintenance of HRIS systems (including ownership of role/security access for HR Partners)
- Partner effectively with HR Centers of Excellence (Talent Acquisition, People Analytics, Total Rewards & ERI, etc.) and provide insights and recommendations to improve HR processes and practices
- Advocate for GM’s culture and values, driving a high performance work culture and supporting performance enablement measures
Additional Job Description
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources/related discipline or equivalent experience
- 5 + years of related experience
- Highly proficient in Workday
- Must be comfortable with data and have the ability to analyze, interpret, and make recommendations from it
- Strong interpersonal skills in facilitation, negotiation, and conflict resolution
- Proven ability to work independently, take initiative, and work to plan
- Influencing without authority
Preferred Qualifications :
- Master’s degree preferred
- HR/LR Experience
Compensation:
- The expected base compensation for this role is $83,800 – $133,900 USD Annually.
- Actual base compensation within the identified range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.
- Bonus Potential: An incentive pay program offers payouts based on company performance, job level, and individual performance.
