Purpose of Role:
The HR Operations Manager is a multi-faceted role generally responsible for managing HR Operations activities and HR technology administration within a shared services environment. This position will oversee HR processes and services with a focus on the end user experience. The Manager will collaborate with stakeholders to enhance HR service delivery, drive operational efficiency and effectiveness and action HR related initiatives.
Roles and Responsibilities:
HR Systems/Technology
  • Manage and support the implementation and ongoing maintenance of the enterprise HR systems. Actively influence adoption through process improvement and end user support.
  • Support HR systems implementations, releases, testing or training that impacts HR processes.

General HR Operational Management
  • Manage the team's delivery of the full employee HR operational lifecycle including position management, onboarding, personal data, job changes, offboarding and related integrations. Serve as an escalation point to solve both day-to-day and more complex operational problems.
  • Manage vendor relationships and performance for related processes and systems.
  • Lead or support new store/acquisition initiatives facilitating collaboration across HR colleagues and actioning items related to HR systems and operations.

  • Act as the primary point person for partnering on special projects involving HR Operations. Project manage deliverables needed from HR Operations team.

Data Reporting and Analytics
  • Work with cross-functional teams and the business to define requirements and reporting solutions on various employee data points and trends to facilitate business decisions. Work with HR Operations team on reporting deliverables.
  • Lead or support compliance-related activities such as reports, filings and audits.
  • Gather and document data required for legal, due diligence or other requests as needed.
  • Ensure data integrity by driving best practices through systems, tools, processes, auditing, and internal tracking.

HR Communications and Tools
  • Using Workday, SharePoint and other tools, regularly communicates updates such as announcements, bulletins and configurable alerts.
  • Oversee updates and the maintenance of templated HR documents, tools and sites that contain HR and HCM information.
  • Draft and/or distribute HR functional communications as needed.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in HR Management or other related field or equivalent experience required.
  • Experience as an HR Operations Manager, HR Manager or similar role.
  • Demonstrated expertise in HR processes. Ability to identify and implement process improvements for efficiency.
  • Thorough understanding of HR best practices, employment laws, regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in HRIS (Workday strongly preferred) and MS Office.
  • Strong collaboration skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability for strategic thinking, problem solving and attention to detail.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to sit at a desk, type and visually use a computer for prolonged periods of time.
  • Ability to communicate on a telephone and in group meetings on a computer.
  • May be required to lift up to 20 pounds and operate printers and other office equipment.
