We are looking for someone local to Irvine, CA, as this role will require a minimum of 3 days in-office. This is required as you will play an integral role in the Company’s evolution and growth. Additionally, we have many in-office employees, and we believe a face-to-face team is beneficial to a healthy culture.

General Summary:
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources Department. Plan, direct, and coordinate Human Resources initiatives of the Organization.
Essential Duties:
· Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy
· Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances or other issues
· Oversee, manage, and develop other members of the Human Resources Department; offer training and coaching as needed for process improvement and department effectiveness
· Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation and preservation of human capital
· Engage in a collaborative relationship with Leadership to ensure Human Resources objectives align with overall business strategies and needs
· Comply with directives provided by Executive Leadership; seek to understand and find common ground between business objectives and Human Resources functions
· Identify areas for improvement within the department to ensure efficiency, organization, and streamlined processes
· Remain abreast of evolving employment and labor laws
· Implement policy and procedural changes as they pertain to personnel management, ensuring alignment with Company culture, best practices, and employment law
· Develop and monitor HR strategies, systems, tactics and procedures across the organization
· Oversee payroll, benefits, Leaves of Absence, and employee relations administration
· Perform difficult staffing duties, including dealing with understaffing, refereeing disputes, terminating employees, and administering disciplinary procedures
· Contribute to the growth and evolution of the Company’s culture via establishing positive workplace practices and facilitating employee engagement/appreciation initiatives
· Represent organization at personnel-related hearings and investigations
· Plan, direct, supervise, and coordinate work activities of subordinates and staff relating to employment, compensation, labor relations, and employee relations
· Works in tandem with PEO to administer all services and benefits offered to employees through co-employment relationship
· Oversee payroll functions and processing, ensuring accuracy and taking financial responsibility
· Educate managers and executives on hiring, terminations, disciplinary action, coaching, and Leaves
· Conduct terminations and ensure an exit interview process is in place
· Oversee the Recruiting Department and ensure hiring deadlines and needs are met
· Holds recurring staff meetings with HR & Recruiting Departments
· Report to management and provide decision support through HR metrics
· Ensure legal compliance throughout Human Resource management
· Provide current and prospective employees with information about policies, job duties, working conditions, wages, opportunities for promotion, and employee benefits.
Other Responsibilities:
· Manage and participate in special projects as needed
· Prepare reports as assigned
· Continuously improve through feedback
· Attend training and department meetings

Job Specifications: (Knowledge, skills, abilities and experience normally required for competent performance)
· Degree or Certification in Human Resources
· Minimum of 5 years of experience in Human Resources with multiple disciplines of HR (hiring, performance management, exempt/non-exempt classification, employment law, organizational development, labor relations, etc)
· Minimum of 1 year of experience in a leadership role with direct reports, ideally within the Human Resources Domain
· Knowledge of ADP database and HR systems
Skills and Abilities
· Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws and regulations relative to labor and employment issues
· High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentation.
· Able to work collaboratively and independently with minimal supervision
· Ability to use sound judgment including maintaining confidentiality, honesty and integrity.
· Ability to prioritize and multitask effectively in a fast paced, confidential environment with competing priorities
· Ability to work collaboratively with multiple departments and ability to nurture positive environment
· Knowledge of MS Office: word, excel, outlook
· Knowledgeable of ADP Background Screen Selection Software
Licensure & Certification:
· PHR and/or SHRM-CP preferred
Financial Responsibility and Authority:
· Fiscal responsibility with relation to payroll processing, accuracy, and decision-making
Salary Range: $70,000 - $85,000 annually DOE
