The Technical Ceramics business of Morgan Advanced Materials engineers high performance functional and structural ceramic materials, components and sub-assemblies to address customer-specific technical challenges.

OVERVIEW & SCOPE OF ROLE

The role is an exciting opportunity to join a global, dynamic, Hi-Tech team, supporting the medical and aerospace industries.  We are the industry leader in development and manufacturer of ceramic to metal seals for both Aerospace and Medical markets.  We help improve the quality of life with our implantable medical components, and we ensure the safety of travelers by developing multiple components for the Aerospace industry. 

The HR Representative is responsible for the achievement of business objectives by administering, developing and implementing programs in the areas of recruiting, employee benefits, payroll, communication, employee recognition, employee engagement and training and development. Manage all system administration functions for payroll. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • This position is required to be onsite.
  • Administer various HR plans and procedures for all company employees.
  • Interpret and provide guidance on human resource policies and procedures.
  • Perform all payroll functions weekly including reporting.
  • Assist in recruitment efforts for all exempt, nonexempt and temporary employees; initiate onboarding process, conduct new employee orientation and exit interviewing. Creation of badges and new hire packets.
  • Maintain HR systems. Establish and maintain department records and reports. Maintain company organizational charts. Assists in HR audits.
  • Administer Leave programs with third party vendor including leave checklist, providing information on how to apply, benefit payment letters, and tracking return to work. Communicate with employees and managers.
  • Responsible for invoicing for HR vendors.
  • Manage the Employee Engagement committee and activities.
  • Assist with training and development activities and record keeping.
  • Manage data and reporting for HR metrics such as hiring and attrition. Conduct exit interviews.
  • Support HR Generalist and HR Director as needed.
  • Perform other duties as needed. 

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:

  • BS degree in Human Resources or Business or equivalent experience in Human Resources
  • 1-2 years of experience working in HR
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office suite
  • Knowledge of labor laws and employee benefit compliance requirements.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work well with all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with excellent attention to detail and follow through.
  • This position requires use of Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Export Administration Regulations (EAR), and Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC).
  • Individual must be a:
    • Citizen of the United States, or
    • Permanent resident alien of the United States, or
    • Protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3) as defined by 22CFR120.15
