GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

This is a FLSA-non-exempt position. The Leasing Administrator position is funded by the Department for Behavioral Health and Developmental Services (DBHDS), and has the responsibility for providing rental administration for participants in the Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH) rental assistance program as administered by Region Ten CSB. In this capacity, he/she has the responsibility for providing a variety of complex and technical support to Region Ten eligible permanent supported housing participants. The incumbent performs a variety of activities relating to computing rent calculations, landlord relations, monitoring financial eligibility of program participants and provide a high level of customer service to community stakeholders. This is a grant funded position. Length of position is depended on life of the grant.

The incumbent reports to the Housing Director and performs duties by proceeding alone under standard practices and referring questionable situations to the supervisor. In carrying out position duties, he/she performs by adhering to DBHDS and HUD Housing quality standards and regulations. Region Ten policies and procedures, and applicable professional ethics are strictly adhered. The HIPPA access level for this position is Level Two.

QUALIFICATIONS:

To ensure the safe and efficient operation of the program, a valid Virginia Driver’s License plus an acceptable driving record as issued by the Department of Motor Vehicles are required. For business use of a personal car, a certificate Leasing Administrator of valid personal automobile insurance must be provided. Completion of high school supplemented with some college of business school courses in necessary. Patience and the ability to efficiently and professionally address frequently changing and sometimes immediate housing needs are of prime importance.

SCHEDULE: 40 hours per week
