POSITION PURPOSE
This position is primarily responsible for the appearance, cleaning, and light maintenance of all hotel common areas and assisting with other duties as needed.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Assist all guests in a sincere and courteous manner.
Houseman is responsible for:
• Keeping parking lot free of trash.
• Front entry and lobby area clean
• Public restrooms clean
• Hallways and stairwells clean
• Fitness center clean
• Pool area clean
• Vending areas clean
• Laundry room clean
• Elevator area clean
• Front desk, back office, laundry room, break room clean
• Complete above areas according to Houseman Duties Checklist.
• Coordinate with direct supervisor on special projects or task before leaving for the day
• Must report to work in proper uniform, including approved nametag.
SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of knowledge, skills and abilities.
• Ability to use various equipment such a vacuum cleaners and dusters.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
During the majority of the shift, the following physical demands are required:

Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel. In addition, attendance at all scheduled training sessions and meetings is required.

- Perform repetitive hand and arm movements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Proper lifting techniques required.
- Ability to pull, push up to 100 pounds
- Must be able to squat, bend, kneel and twist frequently throughout your shift.
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
