Job Duties:

Wilson Workforce and Rehabilitation Center (WWRC) provides people with disabilities comprehensive, individualized services to realize optimal personal independence and employment. The Facility Services Department of WWRC is currently seeking a qualified individual to serve as a Housekeeper. The incumbent in this position will perform work in support of the Wilson Workforce and Rehabilitation Center (WWRC) campus facilities; Provide a clean, safe and aesthetically pleasing environment for clients, visitors and staff. This position performs a variety of housekeeping tasks ranging from, but not limited to, removing trash, cleaning all types of floors, carpets and stairs by scrubbing, sweeping, stripping, waxing, sealing wet or dry mopping or vacuuming in order to maintain cleanliness, cleaning student / staff lounges, rooms, bathrooms and offices; cleaning light fixtures and equipment and assisting the grounds department when needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have:
Knowledge/Experience:
Knowledge of cleaning techniques and practices; and of use of cleaning supplies and equipment


Skills/Abilities:
Physical ability to perform reasonably strenuous housekeeping tasks such as lifting, bending, reaching and squatting are required.
Ability to understand and follow oral or written instructions; and to work effectively with diverse customers.
