The Housekeeping Supervisor will be responsible for leading, training, and supervising Room Attendants,
Utility, & Laundry Attendances, in the hotel’s continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service. The
Housekeeping Supervisor must also be able to work any shift with no schedule limitations.
· Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which includes proper dress and correct nametag when working.
· Always comply with standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.
· Lead, train and supervise Room Attendants, Utility, & Laundry Attendants on a floor or designated area to ensure all rooms and public areas met established cleanliness and quality standards.
· Ensures maximum safety and security at all times.
· Open the department and assign rooms per Hilton standards (OnQ)
· Inspect rooms cleaned by attendants to ensure all rooms are completed on time.
· Assess inventory of daily rooms, assign for cleaning, and inspect rooms.
· Verify and report status and/or discrepancies of rooms.
· Communicate and coordinate with Property Operations/Engineering to ensure efficient maintenance and repair of items related to guest rooms and public areas, as needed.
Responsibilities cont’d:
· Monitor reports, work schedules, lost and found items, etc., as needed.
· Assist in performance evaluations of Housekeeping Team Members, as needed.
· Perform Room Attendance, Utility, and/or Laundry Attendant duties as needed.
· Fulfill other duties as assigned and directed by the Housekeeping Manager.
· Respond to special guest requests in a timely, friendly, and efficient manner.
· Serve as a department Manager in absences of Director of Housekeeping.
· Be a team player and leader.
· Be familiar with all brand specific programs and the procedures for each. Ensure that team members are knowledgeable in understanding and implementing the programs.
· Be knowledgeable about the accident prevention program, including safety committee, education/enforcement, and communication of safety issues through department meetings.
· Be able to effectively investigate, report and follow-up on employee and guest accidents.
· Effectively manage emergency situations i.e. fire, bomb threat, inclement weather, robbery, guest illness and /or accident.
· Perform all duties as requested by management.
Attend/conduct all training/meetings as required by management
