Housekeeping Supervisor

The Housekeeping Supervisor at The Roxy Hotel must be able to properly inspect guestrooms, guestfloors, and public spaces and ensure each are meeting the cleanliness and set-up standards. The Housekeeping Supervisor will prepare rooms for VIP’s and manage incoming VIP rooms. They will monitor guest service and resolve guest concerns when able. The Housekeeping Supervisor will observe and report on the quality and efficiency of room attendants and housemen to the Housekeeping Manager. The Housekeeping Supervisor must be detail oriented, and able to handle multiple tasks, as well as take ownership of and resolve challenges.

ROLERESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist in the daily operation of cleaning, maintaining, and the proper storage of all team member uniforms
• Assist in the daily operations of all guest laundry distribution and retrieval throughout the hotel
• Responsible for maintaining a picture-perfect environment, including front of house, back of house and public areas
• Utilize Alice to report defects
• Responsible for departures, room discrepancies, clear communication with front office and housekeeping management regarding room status
• Responsible for logging defects and missing items
• Handles guest requests and concerns in a professional and timely manner, involves manager as required
• Ensure a challenging environment by giving team members the authority and responsibility to resolve customer or team member needs, expecting each team member to own the concern and resolve
• Foster an atmosphere of mutual respect by encouraging positive team member relations by talking positively in all cases about the Hotel, the organization, management and team members
• Provide a picture-perfect work environment that encourages fun and enthusiasm
• Reinforce good work, and lead by example
• Motivate team to achieve tasks efficiently and in a timely manner.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $27.60 per hour
