Housekeeping Room Inspector

The Housekeeping Rooms Inspector at Soho Grand Hotel must be able to properly inspect guestrooms, guest floors, and public spaces and ensure each are meeting the Soho Grand cleanliness and set-up standards. The Housekeeping Rooms Inspector will assist and prepare rooms for VIP’s and manage incoming VIP rooms. They will monitor guest service and resolve guest concerns when able. The Housekeeping Rooms Inspector will observe and report on the quality and efficiency of room attendants and housemen to the Housekeeping Manager. The Housekeeping Rooms Inspector must be detail oriented, and able to handle multiple tasks, as well as take ownership of and resolve challenges.

ROLERESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist in the daily operation of cleaning, maintaining, and the proper storage of all team member uniforms
• Assist in the daily operations of all guest laundry distribution and retrieval throughout the hotel
• Responsible for maintaining a picture-perfect environment, including front of house, back of house and public areas
• Utilize Knowcross to report issues
• Responsible for departures, room discrepancies, clear communication with front office and housekeeping management regarding room status
• Responsible for logging defects and missing items
• Handles guest requests and concerns in a professional and timely manner, involves manager as required
• Foster an atmosphere of mutual respect by encouraging positive team member relations by talking positively in all cases about the Hotel, the organization, management and team members
• Reinforce good work, and lead by example
• Motivate team to achieve tasks efficiently and in a timely manner.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $27.25 per hour
