Housekeeping Room Inspector

AD1 Global is looking to hire a Full-TimeHousekeeping Room Inspector for their Avon, CT property, The Residence Inn by Marriot.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensures that the company meets all cleanliness and condition requirements.
• Recording inspection results, resolving guest complaints, and maintaining accommodations standards.
• Developing and training other housekeeping staff.
• Additional duties may vary.
• Examine rooms prior to guests arriving and conduct inspections upon their departure to assess if any damages have occurred.
• Function as the primary contact between housekeeping personnel and other staff members to make certain that rooms are ready for guests.
• Inspect clean guest rooms and/or suites in a timely and thorough manner to ensure total guest satisfaction.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Housekeeping inspectors must possess excellent organizational skills and be detail orientated.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment, make sound decisions and utilize good judgment benefits people in this position.
• Able to multi-task, establish priorities and communicate well with others.
• Have knowledge of computers and software programs, such as Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, helps with this job.
• Must be familiar with housekeeping standards and current practices.
• Must have at least 1 year of Room Inspection in the Hospitality Industry.
• Basic reading, writing, and math skills.
• At least 1 year of housekeeping experience.
• Ability to speak English preferred.

This job requires ability to perform the following:

• Carrying or lifting items weighing up to 50 pounds and pushing and or pulling approximately 200 pounds
• Frequently standing up and moving about the facility
• Frequently handling objects and equipment to maintain the facility
• Frequently bending, stooping, and kneeling

Other:

• Communication skills are utilized a significant amount of time when interacting with guests and employees.
• Basic reading, writing, and math abilities are utilized often when reading room assignments, completing checklists, replacing room linens and amenities.
• May be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
