Overview:
Housekeeping performs variety of tasks such as dusting, mopping, cleaning, and sanitizing of bathrooms, tubs and commodes. This position is also responsible for the daily cleaning of resident rooms, furniture, dining rooms and common areas. Laundry assistants perform a variety of tasks such as collecting and sorting soiled linen and clothing, loading and unloading machines, and folding clean linen and laundry. This position is also responsible for counting linen processed daily, and makes deliveries to assigned areas.
Qualifications:
Must be able to clean and sanitize assigned areas and understand basic Infection Control procedures. Must be able to speak, read and write the English language clearly and understandably. Must be able to follow written and oral instructions. Must be able to clean clothing and facility linen. Must be able to operate computerized washers and dryers and understand how these machines work.
Experience:
Some previous experience preferred in Healthcare industry.
