Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a meticulous and dedicated Housekeeper to join our team at Galloway Senior Living. The Housekeeper will play a crucial role in maintaining a clean and comfortable living environment for our residents. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, a thorough understanding of cleaning best practices, and a genuine commitment to contributing to the well-being of seniors through a pristine living space.

Responsibilities:

Cleaning and Sanitation

• Perform daily cleaning tasks in resident rooms, common areas, and other designated spaces to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards.
• Adhere to established cleaning protocols and schedules, ensuring a safe and sanitary living environment for residents and staff.
• Use appropriate cleaning agents and equipment to sanitize surfaces and maintain a germ-free environment.

Collaboration with Team Members

• Coordinate with other housekeeping staff to ensure efficient and timely completion of cleaning tasks.
• Communicate effectively with caregiving and maintenance teams to address specific resident needs or maintenance issues discovered during cleaning.
• Report any safety concerns or necessary repairs to the appropriate personnel.

Attention to Detail

• Pay meticulous attention to detail when cleaning resident rooms, common areas, and other spaces to meet the high standards of Galloway Senior Living.
• Regularly inspect furnishings and fixtures for signs of wear or damage, reporting any issues to the maintenance team.
• Assist with maintaining an organized inventory of cleaning supplies and notify when replenishment is needed.

Resident Interaction

• Interact with residents in a courteous and respectful manner, responding to any requests or concerns promptly.
• Maintain a positive and friendly demeanor, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere for residents.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a housekeeper in a senior living, hospitality, or healthcare setting.

Understanding of proper cleaning techniques, including knowledge of cleaning agents and equipment.

Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other staff members.
