Overview:
Beaumont School is seeking a full-time Housekeeping to join our Maintenance Department.
Beaumont School, founded in 1850, is the oldest school in the Cleveland Diocese and the oldest all-girls secondary school in greater Cleveland. Inspired by the example of Saint Angela Merici to serve others and champion the education of women, Beaumont is dedicated to a college preparatory and International Baccalaureate liberal arts education. Reports to: Facilities Manager
Status: Exempt, Full-Time
2nd Shift – 2 p.m. – 10 p.m.
Requirements:
- Previous cleaning experience is required
- Be detailed-oriented
- FBI/BCI background check
- VIRTUS certification

Position Responsibilities:
- Clean classrooms, bathrooms, hallways, common areas, employee work area, theatres, gym, and other common areas used by students, employees, and visitors.
- Perform cleaning procedures such as mopping, dusting, vacuuming, washing windows, and walls, polishing, and scrubbing.
- Ensure that all work areas and carts are kept safe, neat, and secure.
- Apply sanitizing control and department and facility policies and procedures that directly affect housekeeping duties.
- Follow all safety rules when using equipment and chemicals and report unsafe work areas to a supervisor.
- Maintain a positive relationship with students, and employees
- Re-stock housekeeping carts, soap dispensers, paper towel dispensers, and toilet tissue dispensers throughout the campus
- Keep all equipment clean, locked as indicated, and in a safe manner, as work dictates
- Assist with dining room clean-up process as needed
- Remove trash from all buildings
- Athletic field, pick up litter, and lavatory service
- Perform end-of-evening procedures including lock and alarm all school buildings
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor
- Support the mission, goals, and values of Beaumont, and role model appropriate behavior for students and staff

Employee may also be required to periodically lift and carry moderately heavy materials weighing up to approximately 25 pounds. Physical demand requirements are in excess of those for sedentary work.
Work Environment:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. General office environment. Work is primarily, but not exclusively, in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential or work hazards; however, there are sometimes stressful conditions. Working conditions will require working in front of a computer for several hours. Occasionally working outside, standard working days or hours are required. Frequent in-person meetings for individuals or groups, virtual, and phone calls. Travel to prospect schools and external events. Variations in noise level will occur.
