The Houseperson provides support and service for the room attendants and maintains cleanliness throughout the hotel
General Responsibilities Include:
- Shampoo hallways, rooms and public areas
- Deliver miscellaneous goods and supplies to guest rooms and deliver linen and supplies to guest floors
- Remove dirty linen from guest floors
- Remove trash from work areas to the loading dock/dumpster and remove trash and linen from cleaning carts
- Clean elevator car and tracks
- Sweep and wash floors, vacuum carpet, wash walls, dust furniture and fixtures and clean ashtrays
- Make up and deliver roll-a-way beds. Move furniture, supplies, and equipment
Skills/Knowledge Required:
- Must possess a positive attitude
- Must be service oriented
- Must be a team player
- Must possess excellent interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch
- Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 75lbs. on a regular and continuing basis
- Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to four (4) hours in length
- Must be able to push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 250 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis
Qualification Standards:
Education: High school or equivalent education preferred
Experience: Prior hospitality experience desired
Licenses or Certificates: none
Grooming: All colleagues must maintain a neat, and well groomed appearance (specific standards will be provided)
The expected pay range for this position is $21.59 per hour, after 90 day probationary period completion pay range will be $25.40 per hour.
