Job Summary:

As a Housekeeping Attendant at Courtyard by Marriott Hotel in Mahwah, NJ, you will play a vital role in ensuring our guests have a comfortable and enjoyable stay. You will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness throughout the hotel, including guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces. This position requires attention to detail, efficiency, and a commitment to providing exceptional service to our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean and tidy guest rooms according to Marriott's standards and procedures.
• Change bed linens, replace towels, and replenish guest amenities.
• Vacuum, sweep, mop, and dust guest rooms and public areas.
• Clean and sanitize bathrooms, including toilets, sinks, showers, and floors.
• Empty trash containers and dispose of waste properly.
• Restock housekeeping carts with supplies and amenities.
• Inspect rooms for damage or maintenance issues and report any findings to the appropriate department.
• Follow all safety and sanitation protocols to ensure a clean and hygienic environment for guests and staff.
• Assist with laundry duties as needed, including washing, drying, folding, and ironing linens.
• Provide assistance to guests with special requests or inquiries regarding housekeeping services.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in housekeeping or a related field preferred.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques, chemicals, and equipment.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Strong attention to detail and a dedication to cleanliness.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Physical stamina and ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 25 pounds) and perform repetitive tasks.
